YellowVision Advises Youtube and SiriusXM to Merge.

The best of both worlds would be the result of a YouTube and SiriusXM merger. Both are in need of each others technology to innovate and secure a future in the industry. Currently the merger would benefit the satellite radio company the most.

Why should SiriusXm consider merge: The rapid growth in technology in Smartphones and automobiles is slowly but surely going to eliminate the demand for services that SiriusXM currently offer.The satellite radio company would increase current subscriptions.

Why should YouTube Consider the merge: What goes up, must come down. SiriusXM could replicate an organized robust version of YouTube on their own and threaten the Video upload giant. YouTube content selection is vast, however unorganized. It would be easier to search and set favorites on a SiriusXM platform.

How the merge would work: We have seen a tiny attempt of the two companies collaborating back in 2014. For this merger to be successful Sirius needs to incorporate video in their current service, which YouTube could assist with. SiriusXM customers would be able to upload their own content. Since automobiles have satellite options in most vehicles already, customers would not have to worry about connecting Smartphones to automobiles and home audio equipment. Today's society enjoys uploading their talents; SiriusXM satellite video/audio will provide another platform for the world to upload and share each others talents. SiriusXM subscribers would be able to access YouTube content directly, while YouTube subscribers would be able to access Sirius/XM services not available such as weather, news, sports, and quality commercial free music.

Though the merger is stated as a easy task, it will take capital and adjustments to SiriusXM currentsatellite technology for the combination to work. SiriusXM does not need to merge with Youtube to obtain video services, however it would be easier. If SiriusXM provided the same services as YouTube, it would be difficult for Youtube to hold on to its customers. Customers would enjoy the new organized platform SiriusXM would have to offer along with additional features such as weather, news, sports, and quality commercial free music. Some other things SiriusXM could look into is providing bandwidth and/or television/movie services later on.
